Prof. Dr. Ir. H. James Hellyward, M.S., IPU., ASEAN. Eng is an Indonesian livestock expert, academic and bureaucrat who served as Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Andalas University (Unand), Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia from 2016 to 2020. He is a Professor of Animal Science at Andalas University. Prof. Dr. Ir. H. James Hellyward completed his secondary education at Don Bosco High School in Padang before continuing his higher education at the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Bogor, where he achieved a Bachelor's and Master's degree. Meanwhile, he received his Doctoral degree (S3) at the University of Malaya, Malaysia in Socio-Economic in Animal Science. He has received 2.39 billion Rupiah in research grants from 2019 until the present. He has conducted research on The Gade Integrated Farming - Integrated Farming Development with Liquid Organic Fertilizer to Enhance Horticultural and Oil Palm Productivity in West Pasaman Regency, Downstream Strategy and Commercialization of KUB Chicken to Meet the Needs in Traditional and Religious Ceremonies of the Balinese Community, West Sumatra Coastal Cattle Breeding to Realize Food Security in Indonesia, Establishment of New Strains of Local Sumatran Chicken, High Production and Disease Resistance Based on Molecular Markers and Local Feed, Downstream and Commercialization of Coastal Cattle with Innovation Cluster, Feasibility Study of Livestock Development in Pasaman Regency, BLUD UPTD Urban Breeding and Animal Feed Business Plan Payakumbuh.
